I can't seem to get you out my mind
Every-time I close my eyes I hope I'm blind,
But all I see are memories of you
And at one point I really did love you
And I thought you felt the same way too
But if only that was true,
How could you love me if you couldn't love you?
I don't believe in that lie anymore
Once you chose to close that door
Of our now past and left every bit of me on the floor
I forgave you but I can't relive you
You aren't a part of me anymore
You honestly probably never really were
I realize that now,
I'm glad I'm away from her
And her toxic style of sympathy
When she is her own cause
Of pain and self-destruction
So unfortunate I guess.
